For the first time..I was not as excited when Blackburn equalised against Chelsea last night. I mean..as a Rovers supporter since I was 10..wah lau! I should have celebrated like how I would normally do..but it was kinda like half-hearted.

The 1-1 draw has blew the title race wide open and Manure is like leading the table although Chelsea still has a game in hand.

This morning I woke up receiving smses from some of their fans, thanking Blackburn for doing them the favour. Oh come on..Ewood Park is not called Fortress Ewood by the English press for nothing. Chelsea couldn't win there..what makes them think United could simply walk in there and come out with 3 points? Don't be surprised by the possible result in 3 weeks' time.

Rovers have lost only twice at home this season. Their record at Ewood is fitting for any of your so called Big Four, multi-million dollars club. What sucks is probably their away record which is far worse than some relegation threatened team which accounts for their mid-table position now. Oh well..guess Blackburn don't really have much to play for with this season coming to a close. But with Arsenal and United visiting..hmm..interesting.

So don't thank us too soon. Ewood Park may well be the place when the face of the title race changes for the season..beginning with United 3 weeks from now.

Was just going through Youtube when I suddenly chanced upon 2 songs by Evelyn Tan. Kau! Wonder how many of you actually knows her!

This song is called Mo Qi. It was a song in 1998! Yah! OMG!! More than 10 years! Gosh..Jos, Janan and Gene were like 10 years old, Eddie would be 9, Eugene would be 7, Nic would be 6, Wx would be 4, Ian was like 3 years old and the twins were like 1 year old!! Ok..I was super young k..erm like 16 years old..taking O's. Darn..hah!

At home now..gosh! Fungi Infection on my face!!! So I'm on MC. I cant take it! My beautiful face!!! Urgh!

CNY has been a blast..in terms of the Ang Baos. I mean I'm not exactly at the age where I am actually comfortable when receiving Ang Baos. But this year..got from some unexpected sources which gives me more "transfer funds" for the coming month. So Eugene..when you wanna go to that shop to get the bag?

Oh my Gosh!! 1 week passed by so quickly..the annual leave that I so looked forward to is over. -_-"

Its back to the claims and negotiations ( a nicer way of saying argument) over the phone and of course meeting at MOM. How I wish there could be another week of holiday! At least this is a short week ahead, with X'mas eve on Thursday and Friday being X'mas. So still not so bad..and guess what..I'm on leave on Monday again! Hopefully can celebrate Ian's birthday.

Spent quite a fair bit of time with him this week at the chalet and our outings to buy cards and presents with the rest, and also the HGC party, and of course in church lah! Funny guy..can remember my fave drink somemore. Not bad at all.

Tomorrow will be the FINAL full dress rehearsal before D-day on Friday. Hopefully all goes well.

Oh well..that's about it. Good nite! =)

Like finally. Just whack a 1 week leave and it is here!! Kau..finally get to go on leave and rest for an entire week!

Won't be back in office till next next Monday! So fun. Now fixing up my door visor and will be going for a hair cut with Fred. Maybe going Wx house, then HGC, then mayb meet up with Ashton. Tomorrow is the annual chalet and the Thams are going! So fun. So busy..

After working for the entire one year plus..this is my first block leave and I am going to rest and enjoy. Screw all the claims for now! Haha! You people can wait till I return before I settle. I need a well deserved break..gosh..

So tired so so many things that are happening at the same time. Can't seem to trust the people around me anymore.

You know..when I'm pissed I just shout at a person, make sarcastic remarks or simply ignore the person for a while. Think this is more bearable then when I'm disappointed. My heart simply grows cold and numb..and I simply won't be bothered anymore.

My heart feels that way now..it's the same feeling from many years ago before I went on my 10 month hiatus. I am disappointed...

Time Time Time!!

You know..24 hours a day is simply not enough! Gawd..here is a typical day for Junwei..

He wakes up at 6.45am to prepare for work, leaves house at 7.30am and reaches his fortress at Shenton Way around 8.30am and begins his daily battle with the Insured, brokers, agents, Third Parties, and not forgetting his own enemies within the fortress. He does not end work until 5.30pm. But alas, he never gets to go back on time because the battles are really intense and he leaves for home only around 7.30pm (like today!). He reaches home around 8.30pm, spends half an hr in front of the tv with his packed dinner from God knows where, and starts to do his API work from 9pm till the wee hours of the night.

In addition to that, he is in the committee to organise the upcoming HGC retreat, which is 15 days away, and at the same time, he is also tasked to organise the HGC retreat at the end of the month.

Gosh..and guess what is the irony of the whole thing? My API presentation tomorrow is about simplicity and contentment in God. I really wish I could achieve that. So tired from all the doing..really need time to be in God's arm..to rest in Him. "Come all those who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matt 11:28)

I actually enjoy my work and my service in church and I'm glad to be able to do so many things. I mean, at least better than not doing anything right? It's because people trust in your ability so they entrust things in your hands. All I just need to learn to rest..not holiday rest, but resting in God's presence..

Teach me Lord, to dwell in your presence, to rest in your arms..

Super unproductive week..I was like sick the whole week after scoring two wonderful goals on Sunday. Down with a severe cold I would call it. Went to work sick on Monday and was super tired the whole day. Went on MC on Tuesday..din't go for API briefing and caused my class to change our practicum timing to a super unearthly hour at CHARIS!! I'm so sorry, especially to the Crystal people!!

Went back to work on Wednesday, was not well still and realised that some of those sitting near me are falling sick..guess it was me. A lousy day anyway..Thursday I was still weak..Gawd! And the cold seem to be getting worse. 1/2 day MC..stupid doc! Who in the world gives a 1/2 day MC at like 3pm in the afternoon!!?!?!? -_-"

Today on MC again..hope that I will be well enough next week. Wasted a lot of time this week and a lot of work undone..

Back to HGC..

After nearly 6 weeks away..its been a long time since we gathered together as a HGC. Kinda miss it in a way. Hah! And Dr. Koh and Auntie Jean has officially been transfered over in a $25m deal which will see them sign a long term deal with Punggol HGC. Of course this transfer has be eclipsed by the $75 million they paid for Junwei a year ago!! Wahahahha! Macham sia..

Anyway my meeting with PCK will be postponed to this Sunday in church. Really need to meet up soon as the matter becomes more pressing. And next Sunday is PCK's house blessing. Yeah..can go their house again!! Haha!

At T3 now waiting for Ashton..stupid! Ask me reach by 11pm..then I rushed down..it's 11.16pm and he still isn't here. Guess he won't be here until 12am sia! BASKET!

Licky got my lappie..and chatting with Brenda online now..oh well..what's new about him being late. I'll be surprised if he's early..GAWD! =)

Just came back from dinner with Nic. Been a long time since we had dinner on a Thursday evening. Since we had training for the OAR 5 weeks ago..we haven had dinner since BS and HGC were all cancelled. Gosh! Nice talking to him. He is the only person with LIVE update on my thought process now. Hah! Haven't really reached a decision yet..so tiring..tmr gotta meet PCK already..hmm..how how how..

Anyway..spr tired..another day at work tmr. Gd nite people! =)

A Year On...

Wow! Time flies! It has been a year since I joined MSIG. Well, when time passes by quickly, it shows that I am enjoying my time there and it's true! Many people to thank God for..

1) Jingyi: for introducing me the job.
2) Mag: for being so nice to me and teaching me stuff. Of course minus the occasional bullying lah! =)
3) Jaslyn: my super lunch kaki together with Mag
4) Raabah & Jessie: for showing me the ropes
5) My 3 SEs (Senior Execs): for showing so much patience as to teach me as I'm learning new stuff
6) Keet Wai: for listening to my complaints and nagging about API and stuff. :P
7) Hasif: He who sits beside me. Hah! Keeps me entertained, especially through late nights in office
8) Mrs Chang & Wah Fook: Super important, for putting faith in a fresh grad with no prior insurance experience

There are many others too who has made my time there a truly enjoyable one. At least, it has been enjoyable and a great learning experience up till this point in time! Hope to have many many more years with MSIG! It rocks! =)

Yeah..u can call me by that name. Its like what the hell..am I such a nice guy that people can just take me for granted? Not feeling ok, ask ya how r ya feeling..then gimme some stupid remarks. Another one happy happy " hey Junwei..how's everything? Can gimme a ride?" Do you wanna know how is everything for me or do you just want a damn ride home?

The ultimate one..kau..I don't even wanna write it out. So darn pissed. Those who went with me to Macs last night should know what I'm referring to. Janan said " I really don't know what to say.." Tell me about me..I simply CANNOT believe it..SENSELESS is a nicer word for it..I definitely did not use SENSELESS last night..

Don't even understand why am I writing all these..does anybody even bothers reading? Oh well..I just need a channel to vent all the frustrations that has been building inside. From work to API to church to people. Feel like simply retreating into the shell and keep to myself. Of course showing the happy-go-lucky facade will still be applicable because it's what everybody wants to see. Junwei is happy..he is doing quite well..found a job within like weeks of graduating..job provides nice environment and prospects, has a car, has a girlfriend, serving in church, doing API, taking care of some of the younger ones..PERFECT! HAPPY! Think again..happy endings only happen in story books..really old school story books at that..

Anyway, something encouraging is the response to our church's Open Air Rally at Charis. The attendance was really good by our standards, not by some mega standards if you know what I mean. The speakers were good. The gospel band was great. Learnt something from the way Sam played. Jaz's singing is really good! Improved so much from when she first started doing presentation. Her solo of Amazing Grace was superb! Both English & Chinese versions! Hah! And she was still so worried about her Chinese part. And Pastor Chiang's sharing was really done with lots of conviction. You could literally "feel" his conviction for God and the compassion he had for the lost! I don't know how to describe. It was just really good!

So now we have around 10 weeks before the 2nd leg at Crystal starts. Let's just pray that the response and outcome will be just as good if not better. =)

Feel like some schizo when I'm writing this post. But oh well..really disappointed with a few people around me. But at the same time, on a lighter note, I'm really encouraged by the outcome of the rally. Good night!

Its been another long long time since I last posted..in SP now. Jos, Fred and Chuanqing are like mugging while I'm trying to transfer everything on this com onto the external drive so that I can transfer them onto my new Lifebook soon. Hah! Thanks Liyun for helping me get the lappie.

Was jamming abit at Jos' house just now..was playing with them, Fred on the bass, Jos on the guit and of course yours truly on the drums. But I felt so free when I was jamming with them..no restrictions, no constraints, screw the inconsistency and technicalities (however you spell it). Haven't played so happily, or rather freely, in a long time..

Perhaps it's guilt..perhaps its my insecurities and the fear of making mistakes that have made my experience in the music team a more stressful one then it should have been..but I will continue to strive on..to try to improve..No Pain No Gain they say..I will try...

Hmm..the retreat was like in the last week of May. The last day of school for most of them I remember..but its like the last week of holidays now! Gosh! Been really too lazy to update.

Super tired from church and work stuff. Work is like physically tired..church is like mentally draining. "Second time and still counting.." Why the heck do I even bother to count? Wasting my precious brain juice which is so limited..Hah! Don't know what I'm talking about? Don't tell you leh! Some of you should know. Those who don't..oh well..TOO BAD! I've been Mr. Nice Guy for way too long..so much so people take it for granted..it's time to be a "HEEL"! :o

For once, I finally found meaning in Labour Day. In primary, secondary and poly days, it was merely another holiday. In army, it was an off day. In uni, it was a day where I had time to catch up on my mugging cuz SIM exams are around the corner during this time. But now, its a day, where we acknowledge the contribution of all those who have worked their ass off to contribute to the economy of our wonderful country! Yeah!! My goodness! Its the recognition day of the highly overworked and underpaid (except for certain company who sponsors Man Utd) people all around the world!! I mean, who's gonna say they are underworked and overpaid rite? So I guess all of us are kinda overworked and underpaid. Hah!

Long weekend is here and there's NOTHING TO DO! Tonight there's dinner with the Jan & Jos. Hopefully tomorrow can meet Nic for dinner. Peiqi is also away at Changi for HGC retreat, Ashton is mugging for his exams. Crap..I'm so lonely! Hah!

Oh well..I shall just slack and rest for this. Weekend will be business as usual. SSDD as some of them will say.

WOW!! Believe it or not! I'm blogging from the office! And its not like I'm slacking from my job or something. Just look at the time! Its freaking 8.03am! I'm only supposed to start like at 8.30am. Drove to SP today to meet Jos to come to work. We were like there at 7.30am. So we took only about half an hour to come to work. Gosh..I've nv been to work so early!

Dunno if I will be meeting Nic for dinner. But I drove anyway. Should really start saving..spending a lot on my BBC. And if you don't know wad BBC means..hmm..go find out yourself. Its definitely not British Broadcast Channel or something. I'm too cheena for that.

Don't know what's Eddie doing in Taiwan now..Gawd! I will be happy when he's back with my stuff! Chivas Green Tea!! Woohoo! Ok..I'm mad..but its like 8.06am now..and I'm like in office super early. But the uncles are really power..cuz there were here before me..that's why they are the "old birds". Too bad boss not here yet..hah! If not can see how hardworking I am..but I think by 5.30pm today I'll be super shack liao..

But oh well..tomorrow's FRIDAY!!! ROOOAAAAARRRRR!! And Jan is coming to work tomorrow. Replacing Jos at the CSU there. Hope he can settle in, cuz according to Jos, being a temp there is really busy cuz he is like the only one..so yah..its literally a one-man army. We will see about that.

Yes..I shall revive my blog a little with a short post here. The weekend has been really tiring. Went back to work today and realized that despite being away for only one day, the work has piled up and I spent the entire day clearing back logs. I din't know that replying emails and phone messages could take up your whole morning. GAWD! And guess what? I'm not even like 75% done with them. How the heck am I supposed to get on with my work?!?!

And API..it was so tough for the last 10 weeks. Thank God my group was great and had a superb leader in Auntie Lingfong. Otherwise we would have been really screwed. Enjoying the 2 weeks break before all hell..or rather, all heaven breaks loose again with another sem under Pastor Cheekin.

Last Thursday went for dinner at Auntie Lingfong's house to celebrate the end of API sem plus Peiqi and Henry's birthday. The following day we embarked on the Need for Speed journey to Palm Resort (again!) for the Leader's Retreat. Came back the next day for service and music pract. And Sunday we had the church fellowship. Super duper tired out by the past weekend. Pics will be in the next post. I have uploaded them, just that I shall leave it to the next post to ensure that I have something to blog about and to ensure that I won't leave my blog without a post for the next 1 month again. Hah!

Yah! Its finally Friday! Just came back from API. Super tired! Another day of work later and that's it for the week. Work is of course more fun now. Jos and Jaz are both working at my workplace now. Jaz in same department and Jos in another department but same floor. And we all have the same lunch time!

But of course..the hectic weekend begins..let's see..for Saturday..

9am-11am: API meeting. (Thank you all for being so understanding! We should be meeting at 10.30am, but cuz I have music practice at 11am, everybody is coming down like so much earlier just to accomodate to my schedule..Thank you!!)

11am-1pm: Music Practice
1pm-1.30pm: Lunch (hopefully)
1.30pm-3pm: API Lesson
3pm-4pm: Break (hopefully again!)
4pm-5pm: Music Practice
5pm-7pm: Service
7pm onwards: Depends on the guys

My Router Died On Me!!!

It simply disintegrated after I sent out my email for my API project. Thank God at least I got to send that out before it crashed. Like what the hell. The service provider even had to cheek to tell me that they can't do anything about it and that I had to send it down to the workshop at paya Lebar myself to get it repaired. i swear I'm gonna terminate their service after my contract with them expires.

So now I can't access the Internet at home. Can only do so in the office or when I'm servicing my BBC now at Tan Cheong Motors in Toa Payoh. They provide a rather comfy place for us to wait while they service the car. Talking about my car..some F%^&*(G idoit just open their car door without looking wan sia! SHIT! Scratch my car door! Asshole! Now that scratch can only be removed if I polish my car. GDI!! Urgh..Think jus kena at SP this morning..muz be some dumb student or stupid lecturer! I'm super pissed now! DAMN IT!!!

Yah..its been awhile since I updated. I shall post some photos from the CNY visitation to Pastor Geoffrey's house on the 2nd day of the new year. How apt rite? Today last day liao..if don't post then abit off already.

Before that, yesterday celebrated my birthday in church. The sabo was surprisingly mild I would say. Haha! Was expecting much worse stuff..but it was alright! Hah! Now I can say cuz I have a 1 year buffer from now till my next birthday. The next one..mayb the sabo can be erm.."not so mild" Wahahah! :D

Dreamz won 4-1 in the match against AMKSS alumni too. The last time we met we won them 3-2. This round was better I guess. But only managed to play one half cuz gotta rush off to API. Its killing me!! My Saturdays are crazy. A typical Sat for Junwei is as follows:

7am-10am: Jogging & breakfast at MacRitchie with Evolution or Soccer with Dreamz
11.30am-1pm: Music Practice in church
1pm-1.30pm: Lunch
1.30pm-3pm: API
3pm-4pm: Rest and recharge (which normally doesnt happen cuz other stuff crops up)
4pm-5pm: Music Practice
5pm-7pm: Service
7pm onwards: Dinner + Misc things to do or attend

By the time I reach home..I'll be like zombified. Then Sundays..I don't even wanna tok about it. Simply demoralising as the Monday Blues will kick in after lunch time. Later still have dinner with Dreamz. That's like our annual DnD like that. Hah! Think we minus the 2nd D anyway. Tomorrow will be kinda interesting though..cuz from tomorrow onwards until maybe around July or August, I'll be seeing Jazlyn like 7 days a week! Hah! She's starting work part time at my department. So I'll see her at work from Monday to Friday and then see her in church on Saturdays and Sundays. Wow. :P

December Madness Final!

I realised that CNY is coming and I've yet to complete my December stuff. So this is the final part of the December Madness Quadrilogy or whatever you wanna call it. This is like a final warm down to the whole December. Although this post is a warm down, but I swear during that time, it was still as hectic as ever. But of course I was more slack as my X'mas commitment ended on December 19 on the Fri@8 service. The prep for Xmas was really..erm..busy. Hah!

Of course..other than Christmas, another highlight during December for Tabernacle is the Overnight Prayer Meet. Of course there was no pic for that night lah..prayer meet mah..so is serious stuff ok. Was last minute activated to play drums as Naomi wasn't feeling well..practicing for half an hr with people whom I've never worked with before..so the chemistry wasn't there, but nvm..also not a performance..so its ok. The bass was impressive though..although I got mixed reaction from different people. Oh well..difference in opinions is inevitable..music is such a subjective topic.

Anyway..that wasn't the main point. The thing is, I got activated. I was really thinking of going to Vivo for countdown because..

December Madness Part 1

I've finally received all the photos from the whole of December. There's like 200 plus pics so I've decided to post them in different posts. If not there is definitely going to be information and picture overload. I mean..I won't even wanna posts them all at one shot lah..damn tiring wan leh! :P

Its 2009! And another 22 days to Eugene Chan's birthday, 25 days to Fred's birthday and another 30 DAYS TO MY BIRTHDAY! *HINTS HINTS* Must put in capital letter to emphasize. Anyway, just woke up from the straining activity known as Overnight Prayer Meet. Came home and slept till like now..which is 6.54pm according to my computer. Wonder how the heck am I going to sleep tonight and go back to work tomorrow.

Hope I din't miss out on anybody. Think this is the first time Ian joined us for like this kinda outing. Quite cool to have him along. December Is Ending..

Wow!! I AM SO SORRY! Alot of you have been asking me to update my blog. But seriously..its really tiring to go work then still try to keep up blogging regularly..

Firstly..must Thank everybody for all your Christmas cards and presents. I love them all. Felt like superstar when all of ya gave me so many things at a go. Hah! Even Jonathan & Elliot wrote a card for me. They are P5 going to P6 by the way. I appreciate everything that you guys give me and every card that all of you have written. Thank you! :D

December is ending and in fact, 2008 is ending soon. This year has had its ups and downs. More downs than ups actually..maybe I shall list them out in my year end review post. But that is if I even write such as a post. Let's just say that I can sum up 2008 is a single word: Disappointing..not so much for the things that happen..but with the people around me. Not a good way to end the year..but oh well..that's life..it'll never be a bed of roses..people will disappoint you in one way or other. Reminds me of a story..but I shall post it up in the next few posts because I don't know how to narrate the story yet..

Yes..and I know I owe you people lotsa pics..from my Malaysia trip to Ric's wedding to Liyun's chalet and to the most recent one which is the Christmas service. On A Sunday Afternoon

Yesterday was a totally pissed off day! Like What The Heck?!@?!. Oh well..if a person is not sensitive enough..things happen. PR skill is totally 0%. Lucky my PR skill is improving with every single day if work, if not I would have exploded there and then. Sort of imploded though. Can't believe a statement like that could come from you.

Anyway celebrated Gene's birthday yesterday at Vivo. It was supposed to be a surprise for him and Jos but Jos wasn't around. So oh well..we only got to celebrate with Gene. Normally Sundays are like so jammed packed with stuff..but surprisingly today, there's really nothing on. Spent the whole morning cleaning up my room..something that I've always wanted to do for ages..but just could not find the time to do it. So today spent 4 hrs cleaning it up. Kau..din't know my room has so much crap. Think now my floor can take 2 person sleeping comfortably. Hah!

Ok..videos up next. Mayday's album is not bad. At first Gene told me the song not nice. Then I was quite sian cuz I expect alot from the band. Cannot disagree with Gene though cuz the Main song isn't nice. But here are 2 quite nice ones..the kind that I like lah..got Em Am chord progession wan. Hah! So it kinda makes up for the Main song being bad.

My blog is like freaking dead. I'm so tired to update..so sorry people. I know I have said many times that I will try to update as much as possible..but yah..working life is more tiring than I thought. I really wonder how Weiliang can update his blog so regularly..muz learn his secret.

Anyway..nothing much. Ric's birthday pics are all on Weiliang's blog. But I'm having the video that we took when we surprise him. Shall get it from Peiqi tomorrow when I go her place for dinner. Oh yah..it happens to be Joshua's birthday in about 1hr and 45min. So Happy 20th birthday dude! Its really been great all this while!

Went out with Joshua and my mum yesterday..wierd combi rite..hah! But think carefully and you will know why..wahahha! SSSssssshhh..secret for all those who knows! :P

It's Over..

10 weeks flew past just like this. The past Tuesday marked the end of my first semester of API. It was like wow..I can't believe I made it through. My thesis is almost done too. Showed Judy yesterday and she was suggesting some amendments to be made. So I will be doing that and handling it in on Tuesday when I go for worship practice.

It has really been a tiring but wonderful time with this class. The amount of interaction is tremendous and I really enjoyed the class although I kept quiet most of the time. That's cuz their level of critical thinking is like..wow..tink Jos will enjoy the class. All use brain wan sia! Hah! Anyway its over and I'll be looking forward to the Christmas season with quite a lot of things going on. From the countless rehearsals to Liyun's chalet to HGC holiday to Palm Resort in Malaysia to the HGC Christmas party and stuff. Wow! Another hectic time. Oh yah..not forgetting there's overnight prayer meet too..OH mAN!

But Thank God that after like really 7 years of performing during Christmas, the 8th Christmas that I'm spending in Crystal will be something more relaxed. I can be audience this time round. Was supposed to act but cuz the rehearsals clashes with all my music practices, so they decided to release me for the musci practice. So my Christmas involvement will officially end of 19th December, after the Fri@8 Christmas programme. I mean hopefully this will be it..cuz from experience..yah..hah!

I'm gonna miss this class! =)

Shall revive my blog with a short post today. Haven't really had the time to blog cuz of work and API is now at its FINAL stages. Presentation coming up and my thesis will be due in 2 week's time. I havent even started on it yet. I will probably blog more after API ends for this term. After that will be Xmas celebrations and chalets and holidays. Hah! So should be blogging more stuff.

Yesterday we went to this restaurant at The Cathay called Aston's. Nice food and reasonable price. It was to celebrate Eddie's and Huiru's birthday. Nice! Quite a big turnout. Heard they had another branch near Chomp Chomp. Maybe I'll go there with Peiqi one of these days. Photos are with Wantian so I'll post when I get it from her.

Tomorrow's back to work. SICK! Had some unpleasant experience on Friday. But guess its part and parcel of worklife. You can never please everybody. Oh well, so much for teamwork. Think we'll have to work on that. Gotta change place on Monday too cuz there's gonna be a new exec coming in on Tuesday so we gotta reshuffle abit. Damn..there goes my own personal space. Now gotta shift everything. At least I'm gonna sit beside Mag, so still not that bad. Think when Jingyi comes back tomorrow after a week's leave she's gonna get a little shock. Hah!

Yupz..going for rehearsal later in church. I'm acting in the Xmas play..as one of the 3 WISE MAN!! Hah! Do I look wise? :P

Rehearsals are starting and I really think the hectic period is coming soon. No rest for any of the weekends from last week onwards. Even if I have no music practice, it will be for Xmas rehearsal. When there is no xmas rehearsal, there is music practice. Either that, or I'll have to juggle both on the same day. There goes my JB trip with Mag and Jaslyn. Don't even think I can do my hair now since I'm acting as one of the wise men.

Its the last day of the week again. I look forward to it every single week. After one whole week of work..I really just want to rest and relax. But nope..guess my time will all be spent in church and for API. There's baptism this weekend somemore. Urgh..not that I wanna complain, but it gets really draining sometimes. And I will really give almost anything to have just one single away from everything..away from work, away from church, away from API, away from everybody..

Man..am I getting emo or what. Must be the song that I've been listening to. SHE's 安静了. Super nice. You can refer to my previous post for the song. Listened to it while driving the other day. Weiliang randomly played it on his hp and and when I heard it..I was like !"£$%^&*()! So nice!! So emo!!!!

Ok..I know I'm random..but who cares. A tired man is a random man..

Anyway, the other day Ashton blogged something about my company and our regional director actually had Google alert to the 4 letters of my company. Hah! So he wrote something really positive about his experience with us. Google alerts our Regional Director..who in turn forward it to our CEO and who subsequently forward to our Senior Manager & Manager..and finally to all the staff in our department. Nice lor Ashton Quek! Famous liao lor! Even our Regional Director & and our CEO knows you! Hah! Glad that you enjoyed your time here! Come back lah!

Woke up really early to go with my HGC to Hort Park for the walk. Went there a couple of months ago with my then small group in TUF to walk..today gotta walk again. Lucky Ghim Kwee came to pick me up..if not i tink I will just die going there on my own. Ian, Jonathan, Elliot and Jared were there too..so I was rather entertained. Hah! Saw Weiliang's HGC there too!

Anyway..here is the new emo song of the century. Super emo! SHE's latest song..written by Jay Zhou using his own emo song, An Jing, he rewrote and rearranged his music for this new song..nice! Alrite..CC Practicum was ok today. Much more stuff to improve on but I guess my team's efforts were good and I cannot say that we failed in what we were trying to deliver, nor can I say that it was a spectacular showing. But it was ok. The P5s almost killed me today but they were really good kids..juz a LITTLE bit hyper-active. But they were cute.

Did up my thesis outline today before going to Marina to WINDOW shop with Gene, Eddie, Fred and Christina. In the end..erm..bought a hoodie jacket which I think I bought because it looked good with the shirt I was wearing today. It gave me a rather weak look. But I like! So bought it from Topman. Before that bought another skinny tie from Fourskin. Both items I bought today were on discount. So yah..so much for window shopping.

Went for the briefing at Ric's new place in Clementi and I juz have the feeling that the ceremony is gonna be so cool! Got the sword wan leh!

Ok..going to do my book review now. Gotta work later and worship practice also. Plus API on Tuesday and discussion for the Youth Practicum on Wednesday. Thursday is probably dinner night with Nic cuz its his birthday today!!! Feel kinda bad actually. I was so caught up with my CC stuff it slipped out of my mind until like later in the morning when CC was over. Crap..urgh so sorrie! Anyway..

What is a Temp?

Temp in this case is not the short form for temperature but for temporary. In working terms, it simply refers to part timers to come in to do all the filing, photostatting and basically doing anything that help lighten the workload of the permanent staff. They are there to do all these things so that the permanent staff can concentrate on their main jobs.

So what's the point of hiring a temp who instead of fulfilling the above-mentioned duties, add on to the burden of the entire team. The workload of the team is heavy enough. Now its getting worse because the team has to help out the temp. Hello! By definition, shouldn't it be the other way round? Yah, but this is simply beyond definition. Instead of doing their own work, the permanent staff now has to help out and do the temp's job. Then FOR FISH you hire the temp for? Closing is just around the corner..somebody save us!

Talking about closing..seems like closing for this month is on a Tuesday, looks like I'm going to miss another API class because of the closing. But the pressure is mounting now. Pray for me people. Month end closing is round the corner, and next Tuesday I have to submit my thesis outline for the course. And I have absolutely no time to do it. Here's my schedule for the weekend until next Tuesday.

Friday: Work + HGC at night.

And on Saturday:
9am-11am - training with Dreamz & Daniel's church team
11am-12pm - wash up and rush to church from Potong Pasir
12pm-1pm - cc music practice with Nic
1pm-3pm - API discussion
3pm-4pm - API Youth Observation
4pm-5pm - Music Practice
5pm-7pm - Service
7pm onwards - API Movie review @ Ric's place

Then comes Sunday: CC Practicum in the morning + meeting for Ric's wedding co-ordinators at his place in the evening. The only free slot I see is like the afternoon which I think I will need to rest.

Then comes Blue Monday where I will have to drag my totally drained body to 4 Shenton Way, SGX Centre 2 to work. After work, I have music practice again..

And HEY PRESTO!! Its Tuesday and I have to hand in my Outline for the thesis. Can somebody suggest to me how in the world am I going to manage this? So tiring..feel like just lying on my bed and not doing anything! Like what they say: SCREW IT!!! ARGH!!!! -.-''

Hah! There's actually no link lah. Its just a short post today. So don't try to think too much into the title. I simply needed a title for the post. Work has been really tiring but of course its new phrase in life and a brand new experience. Went through many different situations throughout this entire month of working: Have to wake up early (something that I've not done in recent years), have to use my brain and concentrate from 8.30pm to about 6.30pm every weekday, have to find time to juggle my API work amidst the busy work life, have to learn to put up with the "faces" of other people in your workplace, whether its colleagues or superior or even the toilet cleaning aunty who is having a bad day! But nothing beats the feeling of getting your first payslip! Woohoo!!

Cannot say that my company or the environment it provides isn't good cuz I guess its a company that takes care of its staff to a certain degree. Anyway here's our new advertisement. Look out for it on trains and buses. :D

Yeah..its Sunday and my Monday Blues effect is starting to kick in already. At least finally I get to sleep until I happy then wake up today. Finally. The weekends during the past few weeks has been about waking up early to go church cuz of the Jumble Sale and the debrief the following week. So today is a rest day for me. But later still have BS and fellowship. Possibly my last one. SIANZ!

Ok..4 Shenton Way, that's where I go to work every day 5 times a week. Its actually SGX Centre, next to DBS Building. People at Shenton Way really walk as if they are a race car at F1. Makes my head giddy sometimes. But oh well, guess that's how the financial sector works. Thats why they say time is money. But Thank God He has provided me with a relatively nice working environment that I can settle in. The people in there are very nice too. But work is unending! But good lah. If there's work means the company is ok. Something must be wrong if there is no work or if you are spending your time attending to unhappy customers queuing at your doorstep from morning till evening, as demonstrated by one of our neighbours down at AIA Building recently.

I'm Too Lazy

Actually wanted to post the Ubin pics..but I'm just too lazy. After a hard day's work, you know that posting 60 plus pics onto a blog post can be quite a daunting process. Anyway I don't think I'll be putting all 60 of them onto the post. Too much liao. Either that or I'll break them up into 2 posts. We shall see..

Was supposed to meet Nic for dinner. But he's not feeling well. So decided to work abit later today so that I've a chance of clearing my work for the weekend. Mas (my colleague) told me that work can never be finished..only can clear abit at a time. So yea..I shall use the word clear. Work has been rather ok for me so far. Thanks to all my team pple who has been really helping me in terms of work and and settling into the environment. Don't think they actually read my blog cuz they oso dun know mah! Hah! But thanks alot!

1) Magdelene: who spent alot of time teaching me stuff and goes lunch with me when Jingyi pangseh me!

2) Jingyi: who got me the job. If not I would have been at AIA. Their parent company is AIG in case you din't know. They really do have a crisis at hand now. See lah..sponsor Man Utd lah. :p

3) Daphne: my team leader who also spent alot of time to teach me stuff. You know senior execs really have alot of stuf to do.

4) Raba: whom most of the time i conveniently turn around and ask her tons of qns and she patiently teaches me all the stuff. Thanks!

5) The rest of the WC team: Jessie, Uncle Thomas and Wendy. And of course Mas who does Motor insurance but sits beside me.

TGIF again tomorrow! Jamming session. But the songs are really kinda difficult for me, especially Jumper. But I think I will enjoy jamming It Ends Tonight by AAR. I like that song. Yupz..that's all folks.

Burnt Weekend

Pretty much burnt out by the weekend. Burnt out in both ways: physically and mentally. Had the usual service on Saturday. But in addition to that, I went dinner with Evolution b4 going to Janan's house on Friday night. The following day, Eddie, Eugene and I dragged our tired feet to church spent the whole Saturday there. Going for service and preparing for the funfair on Sunday.

Cabbed to church on Sunday cuz I was running late. Had to prepare for the Jumble Sale. Reached church and ran to Auntie Diana's store to buy the connie dog. It was like sold out in under 20min when they expected the supple to last the 4 hours of the funfair. The whole event itself was ok. I must say I make good judgement. Hah1 When they asked me who could set up and manage a store that would earn something like a "support" revenue to the main attraction. So I suggested Eugene to do a Soccer Store like he did the other time. This time with improvised obstacles from the last Jumble Sale, the store served its purpose. Choosing him to do the store was correct. Yeah! Well done dude!

Then there was the inter-HGC/ministry Capt's Ball game. I expected Youth, TUF and Queenstown HGC to go to the finals for the round-robin games. In the end, only TUF made it there. Youth was surprisingly KOed in the 1st round by the very much older CCK team and I think Queenstown got KOed in the 1st round too, despite having James in their ranks. But the TUF team, made up of a last minute assembled team, comprising of William, Yanliang, Liyun, Bihan, Eugene and I, made it all the way to the finals and WON!

I must say that our route to the finals was relatively easy. A few scares here and there, but not much of a problem until we met Ric's Bukit-batok team in the finals. It was a tough match. Punggol (my future HGC by the way) was difficult too with the Nigerians playing for them. They are a robust bunch. But I guess you need more than just physical strength to win. Made use of William's height advantage to score our points.

The other attraction was the dunking machine. Jared got dunked 10 times! Gosh. In the end I went up to replace him. He was like so exhausted after getting dunked 10 times. Actually when I went up, I din't expect alot of people to try to dunk me. In the end..BASKET! The youths just use their coupons to try dunking me! What sia! So much for being what Jos called the 人气王 (like Shawn :p). But then again..if not, they wouldn't have spent so much trying to dunk me. In the end..only 1 person succeeded. Not Eddie, not Janan, or Jevon or any of the Evolution people. Its Ian Tham! He's got a gift for it! He dunked me, Pastor May Eng and Sandra. Think of all the people to went up there, the only person he din't managed to dunk was like his own father. Hah!

Yupz..photos for the day are with Weiliang. I shall try to get from him then upload them. Ended the day with Worship Pract. Eugene went home after the pract while Fred and I went to Nic's house and had dinner with Pastor May Eng, Nic and Nathan. Curry fish head was like super nice. Think Fred enjoyed it most. :P

Slowly But Surely

3rd day of work. Learning some stuff. Yesterday was learning the process from Magdelene and Daphne. Its not difficult..just that alot of steps involved and today learnt some other stuff too. A lot to learn, alot to absorb. But they are not difficult, just need lots of practice. Ok..some pics..

1st Day of Work

MSIG's new signing Goh Junwei has commenced work today. He attended an induction presentation by the HR department before going on to meet his team mates at the Claims department. The people there were rather friendly but probably due to him being his first day with the team, he was kind of reserved. But all will be fine once he settles in. Did alot of reading on company related stuff and events.

Ok fine..I shall not go on in the narrative 3rd person kinda writing. Super tired liao. Basically that was what I did the whole day. Lunch was nice. Cuz the senior claims manager, claims manager and my team leader brought me out for lunch and I guess the price ain't really cheap. After work went to Crystal for API briefing with Peiqi.

My 1st quarter will be on Teaching & Learning. Judy is my lecturer. And it's the course where the practicum is to teach at CC and organise one Youth fellowship. My discussion group is with some people from Charis as well as Petros' mum. And my practicum group is made up of all Crystal people including Hai, Pamela and Petros' dad!! Hah!

The prcticum shouldn't be a problem I guess. The problem is 1 book review and 4 memory verses per week! OMG! I'm so gonna die! I will give it my best shot but I really don't know if I'm able to take it. I was already a zombie by the time briefing ended today.

Oh well..we'll see about it. Tomorrow reporting time is at 8.30am. I CANNOT be late. So I guess its time to sleep. Haiz..as much as working life is a brand new experience, but really, I prefer studying now. :D

Because there were only 3 of us today. The rest were all on study break. So Eugene and I went to watch the Eddie Murphy show, "Meet Dave" with Jaime at The Cathay. I tell you something: Cathay rocks! 1st the Nets payment thing which I told you all about. From Monday to Thursday, any show before 5pm is $6 if you pay using NETs. Usual price is $7.50. Nice. The today while watching the show, the sound went off for like 5min. To compensate us, we get access to any free show at The Cathay within a week. So we're gonna watch something again tomorrow with Gene and Jos. Woohoo! :D

Weekend Here Weekend Gone

Its Sunday morning again. I've got nothing on in church later, so can wake up later. But should be going down to hand in the copies of my certs cuz API needs it. Ya..I'm joining API. Guess alot of people will be quite surprised that I joined API. Imagine this..Junwei in API. Wow..hah..a really long shot. Hopefully everything turns out ok. I'lll just give it a shot. I've heard quite positive things about it. Only negative thing is that its time consuming. Oh well..can just train me up on my time management skills.

Monday will be my second interview with MSIG. Hope everything turns out fine. If nothing goes wrong, I should be stepping into the working world in approximately 7 days' time. Oh man..can't believe my student life is ending just like that. It seems like yesterday when I stepped into the Old Broken down school compound of St. Andrew's Junior School. Initially I never wanted to go SAJS because I thought the school compound was like super rundown. Looked like a haunted mansion from outside. Of course I spent 6 years there before moving to the secondary school for another 4 years. Once a Saint Always a Saint they say..hah! Guess I shall look back at those times with great fondness.

So emo..got inspiration for my next post liao: My Primary and Secondary school. Hah! Erm..maybe not next post lah..if wanna dig out the old photos will take some time. I shall do that. Expect that in a few posts.

Macham like writing diary like that. Weather today was like rain abit then sunny again. Like what sia. I'm gonna fall sick even before my interview on Friday. Had one interview yesterday with AIA. Things look really good until the terms and conditions part. Hmm..let's just say that it wasn't what I expected. So shall see what happens with MSIG this Friday. Hopefully things will go well because I'm really keen on this job.

Went watch movie with Peiqi yesterday. Murder of the Inuyachi clan or something like that. Ok only the plot, cuz the twist wasn't really..erm..twisty as I expected. Maybe I think too much liao. Joshua lah! Hang out with him more and I'll start thinking too much liao.

Going out with Evolution on Friday..like finally. Been a long while since we went out together. Hope Jos and Eugene can make it. Oh yah..although abit late..but Eugene, good luck for your remaining papers. Hope you can ace your econs! :D

Another Weekend Gone..

Tired..its the most demoralising time of the week. The aftermath of a busy weekend and the prelude to another week of God-knows-what that is coming my way. Went to Peiqi's family chalet on Friday. A new experience I would say. Meeting her parents for only the 2nd or 3rd time and the rest of her extended family members for the 1st time. Wow..hah!

Saturday was back in church. Same thing, music practice then service then dinner yada yada blah blah blah. A good thing is that the EPL has started again and Blackburn won. Winning 3-2 at Goodison Park ain't exactly that easy ok. but they did it, without Bentley, that traitor. His new team, Tottenham lost by the way.

Went church for a meeting regarding the upcoming family day on the 7th of September. After that went music practice, but not as a drummer this time. I was there to accompany Nic cuz his pract today only got him, yea..so was there lah. Went home after that. Watched Singapore table tennis team lose in straight sets to China. But nevermind, cuz the Chinese team was really too good for us. They had the world no. 1 player in their team. We only have world no. 6. Hah! But congrats to Singapore for winning the 1st Olympic medal in 48 years. Ok..that's really a long wait. But silver good enough! :D

2 interviews coming up this week. Tuesday with AIA (2nd interview) and Friday with MSIG. Keep me in your prayers people.

Went out with Peiqi on Wednesday. Went Bugis. Its sort of becoming my fave haunt now. There's so many things to buy and eat over there. Gawd..the food there..*slurp*

The last time we went there, we ate at MOF and it was terrific. This time round, we decided to go for duck rice and kuay chap at the coffeeshop opposite of Mos Burger. Nice I tell ya. Never go wrong when Ashton introduce you something to eat. The next stop we'll be going to is Chinatown. Anyway..back to the duck rice and kuay chap. Both of us were quite filled and yea..guess its worth the $$ spent.

Went back to MOF for dessert. Mango sundae and Chocolate softsurf. Wah lau eh..I tell ya the mango sundae was..heavenly. Hah! :D

Yupz..its raining..super demoralising..and I'm still in the midst of job hunting! Gawd! But Thank God that I have an interview with AIA this Thursday. Although its a contract job for a year, at least better than nothing. I'll see what happens after Thursday. Pray for me!!

Was watching Superband last night, and yea, 异世界 went through. I like that band. Super power. The special guest was Hsiao Jingteng. The song that he sang was like super emo. Peiqi likes him alot sia..maybe I should do my hair like him..and talk less..hah! Erm..forget it! :P

A Lil' Care & Concern Won't Hurt

Another Sunday morning, just woke up, exhausted from the activities of the previous day. Life seem so mundane. Hah! Being emo again. No lah! Where got so easy emo wan. Anyway, I was reading through Jos' blog just now.His short post was..erm..short. Hah! But I totally agree. The 1st sentence made quite an impact on me. Here's the quote from his blog:

"Listen to the advice of the very people who care for you while they still care" - Joshua Ching. :p

Yeah..WHILE THEY STILL CARE. I don't know, but when people care, you may find it kinda irritating at times, but the worst is when they don't care anymore, because you won't even have a chance to be irritated by them.

I find it really difficult at times. Seeing your friends in the plight that they are in, you feel the pain, you feel the urge to help. Then you try to make an effort to help. In the end, it doesn't even matter (yea..quote from the Linkin Park song), because they won't listen to you. I'm not saying that I make alot of effort to help others or that I'm being self-righteous here. I have my struggles too. Just that, yah..people can be stubborn at times.

I'm really afraid that it will come a day when I don't care anymore for the people that i'm concerned for now. I mean, initially, you will feel the pain for them, then you become numb when they are not responsive, and finally, you simply don't care anymore. I'm at the stage in between feeling the pain and becoming numb. I really hope I don't progress any further than that...

And I must stress that..THIS IS NOT AN EMO POST! I'm just saying how I feel after I read what Jos wrote. Breakfast time. Later still going to church for music practice.

Hah! Yeah..tomorrow is National Day. Gonna be a long day ahead again. I have my SIM fellowship tomorrow, followed by music practice and then service. Don't know if can catch the NDP parade anot although church is gonna telecast it.

Eddie is gonna perform with Judy tomorrow, One People, One Nation, One Singapore. Nice song. One of those NDP songs that I really like. This year's song is gonna be sang by Joi Chua and Hadi, the Singapore and Asian idol. Not bad the song, but I still like the 2003 and 2004 songs.

And also because I was there in 2003 and 2004 lah. Was part of the fireworks team at the National Stadium for those years due to NS. The songs were sang by Sun Yanzi in 2003 and JJ in 2004 if I remembered correctly, or isit the other way round. Aiyah..whatever lah. But those 2 songs nice. The JJ one was super nice lah. Just came back from AMK Hub with Ashton. Went there to watch Money Not Enough 2. Contrary to what some of you may feel is that its a local production and can wait for the DVD, I really think its money well spent. In addition to the usual local jokes that they have retained from the last movie, this one has added in another ingredient, known as Family Ties. Wow..it showed how their mum made so much sacrifice for each and everyone of them and in the end...should go watch for yourself. Nice. And the tix are like only $6 if you pay using NETS. Normal price is $7.50.

Honestly, one question for those who have watched it: Who would you save? Those who watched it should know which part I was talking about. If me hor..I also won't know sia..I'll just kill myself. :P

Blogging using Jevon's Mac. Super hard to use. Shall just do a short update. Juz now eat until super full. We had like loads of food for steamboat, plus the cake plus the durians that Liyun brought over.

Thanks guys for all the effort. Thanks Auntie Diana for sponsoring the food and the house, Gene for getting the present and cake. He is the Logistic Manager. Thanks our F&B manager, Joshua for preparing the food. The HR manager, which is me is kinda slack for this event, cuz Jevon got the people. Hah! But overall had an enjoyable time. Alrite..I've decided to blog after all. Shall blog abit before going out. Gonna collect my contact lenses, go fellowship,then to Jan's house for the steamboat and stayover. Tomorrow should be going to church straight with Eugene. So won't be home until tmr night.

Remember all those "Choose Your Own Adventure" books you used to read in the past? Now, here's one of mine. I'll really appreciate if you take some time to look through it by copying it into notepad or something. I spent quite a bit of time on this, like 30 minutes. Here goes:

Rules:
You are a student from The Russian Low College. This game represents a single day in your schooling life, which you have to try and get through as easily as possible.
You will start with 100 Morale points, which will slowly drop throughout the day. Your objective is to try and end the day without losing all your Morale points.

Start from reference #1.

1. Another day at school begins. You have classes for four subjects today. Choose four of the subjects from the list below and arrange them in any order. Throughout the game, you may refer back to this reference to find out which class you have to go for next.

a) Chemistry - Go to 3
b) English - Go to 5
c) Geography - Go to 7
d) History - Go to 9
e) Mathematics - Go to 11

8. You spend the rest of the lesson wasting time with your classmates and making fun of the teacher. Time passes quickly and the lesson is soon over.

9. Just before you step into the classroom for your History lesson, you see your History teacher walking angrily along the corridor just behind you. You realise that she is about to scould the class for its poor results in the recent class test.

10. Throughout the lesson, your teacher keeps scolding everyone in the class for their poor results, you in particular. You keep wondering when your bad luck will ever end.

11. As your Mathematics class begins, your teacher is nowhere to be found. Someone in the class spreads the rumour that he just had a meeting with the principal and would be a little late.

12. Your teacher finally arrives and the lesson begins. During the lesson, you try to catch up on your sleep, until you find that your teacher has asked you to demonstrate a problem on the board.

13. You arrive a little early for your Physics class and sit at your desk, getting ready for the lesson. Just then, your best friend passes you a piece of paper with a note scribbled on it.

a) To skip the lesson and meet your friend for a quick meal, go to 2.
b)To stay for Physics anyway, go to 14.

14. Your Physics teacher arrives, sees that your class is three members short, and spends ten minutes interrogating the rest of the class about there whereabouts and the rest of the lesson making threats about truancy.
Just then, your friend sends you an SMS, calling you a cowardly bastard.

MOS Burger

Nothing much today. Highlight of the day was having dinner with Peiqi at Toa Payoh MOS Burger. Seldom eat MOS cuz I'm seldom filled by it. But today different. Ate the beef rice burger, fries and drank the Minestrone soup and the Grape Soda, not forgetting taking one piece of Peiqi's chicken nuggets. Went off after that because she had to meet her HGC leader to discuss about her job offer.

So went to Grandma's house awhile before going off to meet Ashton for a little bit of last minute slacking. He lent me Alien and Alien 2. Wow..old school. Sigourney Weaver leh..the last time I saw her acting was like her cameo role in Vantage point.

Yupz..off to watch Alien.
Tmr meeting Ashton to play pool for awhile before going to Vivo for BS.
Hopefully can meet Nic and Fred for dinner.

200th Post!!

Yeah..this is my 200th post. Thanks for reading again! Actually wanted to change blog liao and I even did up the blog liao. But don't know if I wanna switch over yet. Maybe later on when I have the mood lah. I think of all the relinking that you guys have to do..abit sianz. So decided to use this blog for the forseeable future. :D

Went to Marina with Gene today to buy my formal clothes to prepare for the interviews and the working world. Urgh. Bought 2 shirts from G2000. By rights, that was where my shopping should end. But in the end..haiz~. Bought another 2 stripe polo t-shirts from one of the shops there and another pair of berms and a belt from Giordano. Together with the lunch at New York New York..Gawd..I've burnt a hole in my pocket. Its about erm..tink $200 that I spent today. Also not forgetting the 2 office pants I bought from G2000 yesterday for another $60. Whew..getting ready for working life really sucks. Hah! :p

Went to church after that with Gene. He had BS and fellowship while I practice drums upstairs. Later on, Fred and Pastor Geoffrey joined us for dinner too. Oh yah..Pearlyn was there too. Finally I got to know who she is. Hah! Don't know much about her cuz 1st time I see her today..but one thing's for sure: she likes to imitate Miss Swan from Madtv alot!!! And she can sing! Don't know how come she din't get past the CSS2 auditions last year. But I told her that if she went through..the best she could hope for was 2nd place..cuz Shawn would still have won. :p
But really, she can sing. And if Pastor Geoffrey agreed, then yea..she can. :D

That's because I'm out of ideas as to what title should I use for this short entry coming up. I know I know..I haven been blogging and you guys who are so INTERESTED in my life are like starved rite?? Hah! Joking lah! My life is pretty mundane, so don't think there will be anything that is really of significance. But thanks again to those who reads and takes a tiny bit of interest about what is going on around me.

Yupz. Had service today..kinda screwed up the Praise part cuz I went off beat and I took longer than usual to get back on beat. Thanks guys for the encouragement. I shall do better the next time. Also, Fred was able to detect traces of tiredness during the Worship session. Happens all the time especially when I play soccer in the morning..now I'm really seriously considering if I should play soccer on Saturday mornings..cuz I'll be tired out by noon time, and when service comes..I'll need my Redbull or I'll be zombified. Those who are sensitive to the music will be able to feel the so called vibe from the musicians, and I really don't wanna play with a tired mind everytime I'm at service. Oh well..can't have best of both worlds right? Or maybe I should just sleep earlier on Friday nights. Then I can be fresh for soccer in the morning and then have some rest before going for music practice and service. Hmm..seems like a solution. :D

Its a demoralising day. Rain nonstop. I actually wanted to clean and pack up my room, but in the end, was too lethargic to even move. Still sending out resumes and waiting for reply..urgh! I need a job!!

Went to a KTV in Chinatown yesterday with Ashton and Huiru. $10 nett from 2pm to 7pm with free flow of drinks and a bowl of soup. Not bad..if you are really on budget can go there. Their songlist is quite updated too. Got songs from Aska Yang and Yoga Lin. So should be quite new lah. Don't matter, as long as got JJ's song can liao. Hah! :D

On Monday, went to watch The Dark Knight with Peiqi at AMK Hub. The show was very nice. A real blockbuster if you ask me. Movie of The Year!! Masterpiece! *winks to pple who understand this statement* :p
But honestly, its worth the money to watch the show. And this is from someone who doesn't like to watch superhero movies. So try to catch the show if you can.

Yupz..nothing much to blog liao. Most probably staying home tonite..nothing to do..
So I shall slack and recuperate. Cuz the end of the week is nearing and the usual hectic schedule will start soon, beginning with BS tomorrow.

Finally got to play central defence with James. Actually I was quite satisfied with my 1st half performance, but in the 2nd half, James was taken off and I just felt abit..or actually very out of place and not used to playing with Xiang Jing. To make matters worse, the opponent's goal was deflected off me. Urgh..but nvm. Overall, I'm very happy with the match result and performance. Dreamz rocks!!

Looking forward to the next time when we play again. I'm now waiting for 2.15am to arrive so that I can drive the car to the airport to fetch Ric and Sylvy. They are finally back and the car has to return to Ric now. I can't imagine taking public transport again! AHHH!!!

Anyway, yesterday's Grapevine trip was cancelled cuz Eddie was ill. So I ended up at Clementi washing the car with Fred and Jos. They were washing their van and I was washing the Liana.

I am so gonna fall asleep soon..I better not. Otherwise there's gonna be 2 poor souls stranded at the Changi Airport Budget Terminal later. Hah! :p

Sorrie people! Haven't been updating over the weekend. But there was nothing much over the week end too. Except for Sandra's wedding of course. She looked really pretty. Thursday..Which Was Yesterday

Sent Sylvy to the Budget Airport yesterday for her flight to Perth. It was the first time I went there..and yeah..it certainly gave a budget feel..

After that went to pick Eugene up from Ngee Ann and Fred from his house to go church. Wanted to jam, but when we got there, we saw all the full tme staff sitting in the office with Pastor David in the centre talking, we decided to stay in the car to watch videos and view pics from Eugene's laptop.

Eugene was asking me what I did the whole week before yesterday, and strangely I couldn't recall. In the end, after much thought, I remember some details. Monday I went Mediacorp to watch Superband. Tuesday was spent slacking at home I think. Wednesday was written in my previous entry. Went my grandma's place and took a pic of this..

Alrite..just got home and I'm going out again later. Woke up real early this morning to meet Ric. He flew off to Perth this morning of his beloved Liana will be in my care of the next couple of days. After sending him off, I rushed off to NUS for Peiqi's convo. Her parents, cousin and Aiping were there too. She took many many photos, but not of us but with her classmates. I mean..its once in a lifetime rite..how can I deny her of such pleasure although I was really hungry. Hah! Apparently Pastor Meiying and Sandra were there too but I din't see them. Was with her family and Aiping all along.

Went to Crystal after everything to cool down before heading down to Vivo for lunch..or dinner..somewhere in between I would say. After that was off to grandma's place for dinner. I guess she was extremely happy to see me cuz I haven been there in ages. She even asked me to bring Peiqi along the next time..I was like.."erm..ok.."

Yupz so I'm back home..slacking abit before going off to meet Ashton at West Coast. Basket! Pay for my petrol arh you!! Wahahha! :D

Ok..yesterday..went Mediacorp in the evening with Nic, Fred, Huiru and Ashton. Gene couldnt make it the last min because of..haiz~. Shall not mention. How can you FORGET that?!?!?! :p

Took the pic in a haste as I was walking. Din want people to think that I'm like a Sua Gu. Macham never to there before like that. Went there last time for Singapore Idol and for Campus Superstar 2 Finals.

We were obviously not allowed to take photo inside. So we could only manage this 2 pics before the show started. Then like 5min before the show, we had to rehearse the opening (screaming) with the hosts. Say is rehearse lah, but actually they wanted to record the screaming and clapping, just in case the crowd not high enough during the "Live" show. So we were supposed to scream the band that we support, but we not supporting any of them. Juz there to watch only since got tics. So Ashton was like !@#$%%^! and displaying his powerful vocabulary and I was like " JJ!! Shawn!!! Felicia!!" in a mock screaming voice.

Show then started and the bands were ok. 异世界 was super powerful. Their drummer was like..wow! Noticed something from every band. Minimum requirement is that the guitarist, bassist and keyboardist must know how to do solos! They were all doing solos. The drummers din do drum solos though. Here's a video of 异世界 during audition round. Couldn't find video of their performance last night. the drummer last night was really..GAWD!

As for my bro's classmate's band, Synpathy..oh well. They managed to squeeze through as the last band. But they went through definitely because of their fan base. Cuz their music was really kinda messy last night. So good luck to their preparations for the next round. Hopefully everything can be better.

Another Hectic Weekend

Saturday was usual. Worship pract then service. But the thing is that after service got some Youth Day Celebration thingie. So went home rather late that day.

Yesterday was even busier. Went to church in the morning to put my stuff down before going to Clarke Quay to meet Hong, Ben and Joo to go fro Meiying's wedding. Pics are with Ben. Only managed to take one pic..

Once again, because of worship pract, I had to leave the place earlier, thus missing out on the dessert once again! Urgh. But worship pract was ok for me. Guess it was more stressful for Eugene and Nic. :D

Went to play soccer at West Coast Park to play soccer after that. In the end, spent the night at Gene's house with Fred. Too tired to go home and since Ric was sending Gene back to CCK..might as well. Met Weixiang for breakfast just now..and finally after months of talking..I finally put my words into action.
