Time Time Time!!
Wednesday, September 30, 2009, it's 9:45 PM.
You know..24 hours a day is simply not enough! Gawd..here is a typical day for Junwei..
He wakes up at 6.45am to prepare for work, leaves house at 7.30am and reaches his fortress at Shenton Way around 8.30am and begins his daily battle with the Insured, brokers, agents, Third Parties, and not forgetting his own enemies within the fortress. He does not end work until 5.30pm. But alas, he never gets to go back on time because the battles are really intense and he leaves for home only around 7.30pm (like today!). He reaches home around 8.30pm, spends half an hr in front of the tv with his packed dinner from God knows where, and starts to do his API work from 9pm till the wee hours of the night.
In addition to that, he is in the committee to organise the upcoming HGC retreat, which is 15 days away, and at the same time, he is also tasked to organise the HGC retreat at the end of the month.
Gosh..and guess what is the irony of the whole thing? My API presentation tomorrow is about simplicity and contentment in God. I really wish I could achieve that. So tired from all the doing..really need time to be in God's arm..to rest in Him. "Come all those who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matt 11:28)
I actually enjoy my work and my service in church and I'm glad to be able to do so many things. I mean, at least better than not doing anything right? It's because people trust in your ability so they entrust things in your hands. All I just need to learn to rest..not holiday rest, but resting in God's presence..
Teach me Lord, to dwell in your presence, to rest in your arms..
