New Era

21/04/2007 - Beginning of a New Era..My title sound so huge..but there is nothing really. Past few weeks hasnt been that good. Mugging, conflicts and changes certainly ain't a very good combination. Got a new lappie (as Tuffers will call their laptops)> Really din't expect my mum to get me one now, cuz I dun really need it. Juz a normal one, not a macbk or vaio or anything. Juz a simple Acer lappie that I can do my work with, chat wif my frens and to play FM2007. Hah! Came wif Windows Vista, kinda still getting used to it I guess. I'm not a computer whizzkid.
Juz came home from NUS, was there mugging with Amy, Matt, Linda, Clarence and Eugene. Guess they found Eugene kinda interesting. Amy and Matt kept pestering him to go dinner with them. Hah!
Recently, during BS, Pastor Sharon was announcing that TUF will undergo restructuring, i mean we always undergo restructuring. Well, was kinda expecting them to split up NUS/SIM the moment I heard the news. When it became official a few days back, my heart sank. Guess Linda will know how I feel. I mean, for the past year since we combined after the previous restructure, we have spent really fun and meaningful time together. From the trip to JB, to the Ubin trip, to the TUF retreat, to even mugging at NUS library. Although the split simply means that we dun haf BS and fellowship together, other things remain status quo, but its just not going to be the same anymore. Guess we built up each other and lotsa rapport over the past year. Honestly, I've enjoyed every minute with the Tuffers. Never felt like that since when I was in TIPs. Even so, I muz say that TUF is probably even better than TIPs. Man..really a big Thank you to all you people especially:-
Matt: for organising all our stuff and encouraging us. Not forgetting ur odd antics that you come up with. "DUNCH leh" hah!
Amy: for all the nice pastries tt you bake for us, the nice drawings, and the sometimes crazy things that you do!
Clarence: for all the help you've given me thru'out, whether its work or play. =)
Linda: for all the encouragements, talks on econs, honest opinions and sometimes funny jokes, and oh of course..the Air Supply songs!
Peiqi: Need me to say more?? Hahah! Thnx for everything! Oh yah, dun feel too stressed about disappointing people. People who understand may feel disappointed at the event but not in you. If they feel disappointed in you, then it simply shows they dun understand the situation at all. Because it's simply out of your control.
And of course there is Pastor Sharon who has been so like patient with me. Ever since Pastor Beetin (who is gonna take over), there hasn't been any pastors that I could trust completely until Pastor Sharon took over when I went into TUF. So was really hoping that I could work with her for the 3 years that I am gonna spend in TUF, but guess God has other plans. Actually to be fair, Pastor Geoff would have made the list too, but I din haf much chance to work with him cuz when I came back from my 10 months 'break' I was almost going into TUF already.
Seems like everything is going a full cycle. After 7 years in the campus ministry, my final year is gonna be taken by the pastor that took care of me when I came to Crystal 7 years ago. Muz say that I'm a very change-resistant kinda person. Its really kinda about faith in God. People used to ask me what is faith? I will say that "faith is believing in things you do not see". Guess I have to change abit to my definition. Its more than that. Its also involves believing that God will provide a way and that when things dun go the way we want, we trust that He made it happen for a bigger reason that we cannot picture. I mean in all honesty, I feel that humans are juz too stupid to understand what God's plan for us are.
Yea..so here's a breakdown of how TUF is gonna be like:-
Before: 3 main groups - NUS/SIM, NTU & City Tuffers
Now: 5 Main groups - NUS, SIM, NTU, City Tuffers & MDIS
NUS led by Pastor Cheekin & Pastor May Eng
SIM led by Pastor Beetin, Sandra & Jaime
NTU led by Pastor Kian Cheng, Pastor Gideon & Judy
City Tuffers led by Pastor Chiang and if I'm not wrong, Pastor Sylvia.
MDIS led by Pastor Sharon.
I'm not very sure of the in charge other than for NUS & SIM..correct me if I'm wrong. Hah! Man..macham WWE sia..or the radio stations where the DJs change their shifts every year.
Argh..long post..enough of the serious stuff..now onto something not so serious but still serious..hah! Was studying at NUS on Wednesday. Went there to study earlier..then went for our exam prayer meet. After that Linda, Clarence, Amy and I decided to stay back in NUS to study through the nite. So here was roughly what happened..
3pm-6pm: Study at LT
6pm-8pm: Prayer Meet + Dinner
8pm-11pm: Met up with Javion and the rest of the guys from SEAD near PS
11pm-12am: Went to Jos's place to bath & pick up xtra clothings.
12am-4am: Mug while listening to Air Supply songs by Linda
4am-7am: SAS (stone & sleep)
7am-9am: Stone and had breakfast
9am-3pm: Stone, sleep & mug at Central Library
3pm-6pm: Went out with Gene
6pm-7pm: Sleep while Jos & Gene had BS
7pm-9pm: Dinner with Nic, Jos, Gene and Frederick
9pm-10pm: Sleep on bus
10pm onwards: I can't remember..nxt thing I knew was 12pm on Friday.

You know, I seriously think Tuffers are smart cuz we can study all the million pages of pyschology, economics, business management, sociology notes that NUS or SIM throw at us. But, we dun seem to be able to read simple sentences like this:

Imagine the number of laptops that were gonna blow if the socket blew..tink 2 of them were macbks. Hah! Alrite..exams coming up soon from May 9-21. Really gotta go into hibernation mode soon. For the NUS Tuffers starting exams, like in abt 8 to 9 hrs time, good luck!

Stomp The Yard !!YO! Check Check CHecK it out! Hah! Juz came back from movie with Jos, Gene, Frederick, Zihui and Zhaolin. Watched Stomp The Yard. The show was like really cooool with all its hip hop & RnB music! Been really stressed with work lately..so gotta relax abit. CUT ME SOME SLACK! as Gene will say. So decided to use the day to do some stuff of my own. Went out to help Eugene find some stuff then met up wif Caleb at Vivo to eat. After that joined Jos and the rest for movie. Wanted to watch at Vivo..the sound system would haf been like super nice. But dun haf the timing..so we went Marina instead..
